近代語彙の一考察 : 『学問ノスゝメ』の語彙の性格

要旨

Yukichi Fukuzawa's most famous book, Gakumon no Susume, is still estimated high because it led people into civilization and enlightenment in the Meiji period. This book contains 25,200 words in total, and 4,550 entry words. The followings are researched and discussed in this article : 1. What are the words that are used more than 30 times? 2. Gakumon no Susume consists of 17 volumes. What are the key words in each volume? 3. What is the tendency of Fukuzawa's words? As a conclusion it can be stated that Fukuzawa's words are enlightening and very easy to understand.
