群馬県内日本語支援ボランティアの実態調査の結果について

要旨

At present, Japanese classes for foreign residents are held by 20 groups of Japanese volunteers in Gunma Prefecture. We plan to produce educational video materials for these classes that would encourage a bond between Japanese and foreign people. As part of our research for these materials, in September, 2003, we made a survey to gather information on the thoughts and opinions of local Japanese volunteers. 144 surveys were completed and returned to us. The survey contains 14 questions on past volunteer activities, present participation in volunteer activities, their understanding of Japanese teaching and their visions for future. In this report, we outline our goals, methods and survey results, and give an analysis of our research.
