日本語との対照におけるサオ語の授受表現

要旨

This　paper　aims　to　clarify　the　usage　of　the　giving　and　receiving expressions　in　the　Thao　language．　Thao　is　the　language　of　the　native Thao　people　residing　in　Taiwan’s　central　region；it　belongs　to　the Austronesian　family　of　languages． 　　　The　verbs　implying　giving　and　receiving　are　verbs　such　as‘give＆ receive’，‘sell＆buy’and‘lend＆borrow’．　Each　pair　of　verbs　implies the　same　section　or　event；however，　these　verbs　are　used　differently when　one　views　the　actions　or　events　from　the　opposite　standpoint．　In the　Thao　language，　these　giving　and　receiving　expressions　are expressed　by　patient　focus　affix，　locative　focus　affix　and　causative affix．　Furthermore，　I　examined　the　case　form　of　a　giver　and　a recipient　in　the　giving　and　receiving　expressions　of　the　Thao　language．
