英語発音指導の課題と解決策

要旨

Various types of teaching pronunciation have been performed, while they have not changed for more than forty years, which have not been effective in Japanese schools. The main reason is teachers do not know effective ways of teaching pronunciation. The purpose of this study is to analyze those futile ways of teaching and give new solutions to this field. This paper proposes 1) more effective ways and a realistic arrangement and suggestions of teaching pronunciation, 2) phonetic notations that phonetic symbols are worth teaching, 3) a guideline principle and a weekly package of teaching orders such as introduction, practice,confirmation, correction, and review, 4) how to prepare for reading aloud, and 5) its applied area of a presentation in classrooms.
