要旨
This paper analyzes how forms of requests in Japanese and Chinese are affected by the following two factors : the familiarity between the speaker and the addressee (F) and the relative status of the addressee (S). The data analyzed in this study is collected through a questionnaire survey. The result shows that the places where the effects of F and S appear clearly are "types of benefactives" and "the use of honorific forms" in Japanese, whereas they are "types of sentences" ("indirect type" or "direct type") and "the use of expressions representing admission of impingement" in Chinese.
