言語景観を資源とした言語学習に関する研究 : 自律学習ができる学習者を育てるために

要旨

Linguistic landscape refers to the demonstration of language in a public area. In recent years, the linguistic landscape has taken a prime place on the international arena of sociolinguistics and extended to the pragmatics of language education. I conducted a research to find out more about this phenomenon. My research is based on a one year old survey of linguistic landscape incidences in Japan. I created a questionnaire survey and used analysis software to obtain the survey results. Based on the results of the survey, I conducted a series of interviews. My results have clearly shown the cognition of the linguistic landscape among the participating students. Furthermore the opinions of learning a foreign language via the linguistic landscape method were definitely implicit. In conclusion I proposed a preliminary guidance plan, suggesting how to use the linguistic landscape as a learning tool in a mastery of Japanese. This paper in incorporated with the references to the relevant literature, my survey questions and my own methodology.
