貝原好古『和爾雅』草木門における漢名と和名の対応について : 貝原益軒からの影響を中心に

要旨

Wajiga is a meaning classification dictionary written by Kaibara Yoshifuru and published in the 7th year of Genroku. It has been said that Kaibara Yoshifuru wrote under the influence of his uncle Kaibara Ekiken. In this paper, I compared whether the correspondence between Chinese name and Japanese names matches that of the preceding Ekiken's books. Furthermore, I compared the correspondence between Chinese names and Japanese names in Hayashi Razan's Shinkan-Tashikihen, which is said to show a different correspondence from the correspondence between Chinese names and Japanese names in Ekiken's books. Yoshifuru says that he used Tashikihen in the compilation of Wajiga. On the other hand, it is not clearly said that Ekiken's books were used. It has already been pointed out that many of the correspondence between Chinese and Japanese names in Shinkan-Tashikihen and Honzokomokuhinmoku is different. Based on this result, it was verified whether the correspondence between the Chinese name and the Japanese name in the “Somokumon” of Wajiga is similar to that in the books of Ekiken. As a result, the following was found regarding the correspondence between Chinese names and Japanese names in Wajiga. I There are many items that completely match the correspondence between the Chinese name and the Japanese name in the Honzokomokuhinmoku, and there are few items that do not match. II On the other hand, there are few that completely match the correspondence between the Chinese name and the Japanese name in Shinkan-Tashikihen, and there are few matches. As a result, the correspondence between the Chinese name and the Japanese name in the “Somokumon” of Wajiga seems to be close to the Honzokomokuhinmoku. It shows the possibility that Ekiken had an influence on Yoshifuru, and at the same time, it is an important clue when considering the establishment of Wajiga. The remaining problem is only the “Somokumon” was examined this time, and it is unclear whether the influence of Ekiken on the entire Wajiga. In addition, it is not possible to understand all the descriptions of Wajiga from Honzokomokuhinmoku alone. Regarding these two points, it is necessary to consider the influence from other books.
