MODALITAS ~ZARU O ENAI DALAM KALIMAT BAHASA JEPANG日本語におけるモダリティ「～ざるを得ない」

要旨

ABSTRACT Deviana, Lidya Marantika. 2019. “Modalitas ~Zaru o Enai dalam Kalimat Bahasa Jepang”. Thesis, Department of Japanese Language dan Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor: Elizabeth Ika Hesti ANR, S.S., M.Hum. This research aims to describe the structure and meaning of ~zaru o enai modality. The data in this research were taken from a collection of online Japanese articles are ejje.weblio.jp, more.hpplus.jp, news.livedoor.com, www.tokyo-np.co.jp, and www.yomiuri.co.jp. The method of data retrieval in this research is research library. Then, the data collected with the technique of note. The methods used in data analysis is the method of agih, the results of the analysis of structure and meaning is described and then presented with an informal way with ordinary words. Based on the analysis of the data, it was concluded that ~zaru o enai modality can only be attached to the verb. ~Zaru o enai modality declare the meaning of necessity that can not be avoided due to the presence of outside pressure or orders from superiors, as well as stating the meaning of responsibility that arise because of the encouragement from the speaker itself that something should be done.
