要旨

This practical report is concerned with teaching contrastive expressions between Japanese and Chinese, Which was taught by the present writer. The content of this teaching is roughly divided into two. One is essentially teaching contrastive expressions between Japanese and Chinese, which used selected teaching materials. The other is teaching comparative culture between Japan and China. The former is divided into three categories. :1. teaching homographs between Japanese and Chinese 2. teaching distinctions between Japanese and Chinese expressions 3. teaching ways of translation between Japanese and Chinese. The latter is understanding Japanese culture and the Chinese one, using books concerned with these subjects. After teaching, the following points are revealed,: When teaching contrastive expressions it is necessary that learners have fundamental knowledge about the two languages, otherwise teachers must present concrete examples of correct and incorrect use of Japanese expressions (which are ranked by difficulty). When teaching comparative culture between Japan and China it is necessary that teachers select compositions of high quality which serve the purpose.
