要旨
K-A dating on the muscovite mineral in the granitic rock from Dai, near Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture showed 424×106 years. Never have been reported such an old value by K-A method in Japan. Granitic rock is composed of leucocratic biotite quartzdiorite, two mica granodiorite to quartzdiorite or muscovite granodiorite to quartzdiorite often with pegmatitic parts. Always the granitic rocks are distributed in serpentinite and show dyke and massive forms. From their mode of occurrence, it is considered that the granitic rocks are squeezed out together with serpentinite of Cambrian or pre-Cambrian ages accompanied by tectonic movement.
