要旨
特に有名な景観資源を持たず, かつ住民の景観への意識の薄い農村地域で, どのように地域の景観形成への住民の意識化と参加を促すかという方法論への指針を得ることを本研究では目的とした. そこで新潟県小国町における景観形成方策に取り組み, 児童の絵画と作文を分析し, 地域での景観の捉え方には季節や自然現象, 歴史や伝統, 行事や遊びの思い出など, 人の審美的態度にかかる要素が大きいことを認識した. また「景観」という言葉は地域には馴染みにくく, 住民自身が景観を意識化していくには, 審美的態度が働く「風景」から導入し, ふるさとの原風景ともいうべき地域の景観的特徴を明らかにして, 意識を高めていくことが有効であると示された.
