要旨
Japan has its own history about personality psychology. There are some Japanese words regarding meaning of personality. Historically, various pieces of knowledge of personality psychology have come into Japan, and original theories have also been created. Japanese personality psychology researchers maintain energetic research activities and publish research articles, resulting in a considerable amount of knowledge regarding personality psychology being taught throughout various courses in higher education. Personality psychology holds an important position in the contemporary study of psychology in Japan.
