International Consensus Diagnostic Criteria for autoimmune pancreatitis -Guidelines of the International Association of Pancreatology-

要旨

The International Consensus Diagnostic Criteria (ICDC) for autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) were created by the efforts of Eastern and Western experts via hot discussions at the 40th Anniversaries of the APA and JPS joint meeting in Honolulu in 2009 and at the 14th IAP and the 41st JPS joint meeting in Fukuoka in 2010, and they were finally published in the "Pancreas" in April, 2011. The ICDC will be a global standard as the diagnostic criteria for AIP. Here the ICDC translated into Japanese are reported with an attachment of brief descriptions on the reason and the process of compilation of the ICDC for AIP after permission from Professor Vay Liang W. Go, the Editor-in-Chief of the "Pancreas". We hope that this article may help Japanese medical practitioners to understand the latest concept of this disease.
