要旨
This study aimed to examine the relationship between contingent self-esteem, sense of authenticity, and loneliness. Four hundred Japanese participants, with a mean age of 57.9 years, completed the Self-Esteem Scale, Contingent Self-Esteem Scale, Sense of Authenticity Scale, and the Japanese Version of the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3. Partial correlation analysis, controlling for gender, age, and marital status, revealed that self-esteem and sense of authenticity were negatively correlated with loneliness, whereas contingent self-esteem showed no correlation with loneliness.
